Expansion Size and Direction Guide Explained

The size of your cafe is the number of floor tiles in each direction.  My cafe is 12 floor tiles by 12 floor tiles.  (12x12)

The Expansion size is determined by the number of floor tiles in each direction.

When you look at the expansion square, you see 2 arrows and 2 numbers next to the expansion block.  Those numbers represent the total number of floor tiles your building will be after the expansion in the direction indicated by the arrows.

If the block numbers are 10x12, then the finished size of your cafe will be 10x12 after the expansion is finished.

The arrows on the expansion block tell you which direction will be 10 floor tiles and which direction will be 12 floor tiles after the expansion is finished.

Ex. 1)  Expand in 1 direction.   If you have a 10x10 building and you choose a 10x12 expansion, you will expand 2 floor tiles in the direction of the 12 arrow.  The 10 side is already 10 and can't expand.

Ex. 2)  Expand in 2 directions.  If you have a 9x10 building and choose a 12x12 expansion, you will expand in both directions.  3 floor tiles in one direction, and 2 floor tiles in the other direction according to the direction of the corresponding arrows.
